Day 31 & 32 We headed for Charleston SC and arrived without incident at our hotel. While getting ready for diner we learned that one of the two guys that headed north had an accident! He is OK but he totalled his bike. He managed to ‘jump’ off the bike before it headed down a ravine. Ron landed on his but, so save for some heavy bruising he is OK and will be flying home. Bruce was now going to head home on his own, so the group made plans to meet him, as always - safety in numbers. We met Bruce backtracked to the I 77 and headed north again. We are heading home now. Day 32 After the rendezvous with Bruce and continued our trek northward staying in Franklin Pennsylvania. We left early in the morning and headed for the border. We crossed without incident and proceeded into Burlington where Bruce lives. And then there were 4. Our plan was to leave Burlington and hunker down in Whitby for the knight, but there was a forecast of rain tomorrow, so by consensus we decided to make a dash for home and Ottawa. After a 850 km day (our longest) we arrived home at about 8:30 PM
